The HPP Employees Cooperative received the “Moving-Up Award” during the recently concluded Gawad Parangal Awarding Ceremony held at the Azalea Hotel in Baguio on October 13, 2017. 

Gawad Parangal is an awards and recognition program of the CDA (Cooperative Development Authority) for cooperatives, LGUs, and other partner organizations in recognition of their exemplary performance, best practices and good governance in bringing responsive services to their members and the community.

The HPPECC Board of Directors and Officers who received the award were truly honored and proud considering that HPPECC was one of the youngest if not the youngest cooperative among the attendees. The award is truly a reflection of HPPECC's remarkable performance in such a short period. HPPECC was able to move from being a Micro Cooperative (<=Php3M Asset) to a Small Cooperative (<=Php15M Asset) to a Medium Cooperative Category (<=Php100M Asset) in just 3 years of operation.

The next target is to be in the Large Cooperative Category (>Php100M Asset) in the next 2 years. Clearly, with everyone’s support and good governance, there’s no doubt that HPPECC will reach that goal.

Other cooperatives in attendance include the ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative (~Php20B in Asset), AFPFC Multipurpose Cooperative (~Php3.5B in Asset), and Baclaran Vendors Development Cooperative (~Php250M in Asset), among others.
